How to Edit or Delete a Word that You Misspelled on Facebook?
Facebook status updates,
Timeline posts and comments are immediately visible to anyone you've
approved to view them in your security settings, but you still have a
few options if you second-guess yourself or realize that you've
misspelled a word after you've hit "Post." Typos in erroneous status
updates and Timeline posts must be completely deleted and then edited
and re-entered in a new update, but comments can be edited without
erasing them entirely. Facebook adds a gray "Edited" notification to
your comment and maintains the history of changes to preserve the
context.
Deleting Status Updates and Wall Posts
1.
Highlight the problematic update or post and press "Ctrl-C" to copy it
to your clipboard. Alternately, you can right-click on the highlighted
text and select "Copy" from the menu that pops up.
2. Hover over the post with your mouse then click the pen icon that appears in the top right corner.
3. Select "Delete" and then click "Delete" again when the windows pops up asking "Are you sure you want to delete this?"
4.
Place your cursor in the text field of a new status update or Timeline
post and then press "Ctrl-V" to paste it. Alternately, you can
right-click in the text box and select "Paste."
5. Edit the content to correct misspellings and then click "Post" to make it live.
Editing Comments
1. Hover over the problem comment and click the pencil icon that pops up in the top right corner.
